Our Philosophy

At Bliss Body Therapy we offer services that foster the present moment, supporting you to live within your bliss. Our practice likes to live in the pause between science and spirituality. We can address your pain and discomfort with an evidence informed practice while also holding space for the need to connect to something bigger than ourselves. Whatever your goals, our highest aim is educate and inspire change so that you can live within your bliss.

We offer a range of services, including deep tissue massage, clinical massage, medical massage, relaxation massage, private yoga lessons, Thai Yoga massage and more.

What is your bliss body?

In yoga philosophy, there is said to be five layers of the self. These layers are called koshas and are often referred to as sheaths or veils that continually open to one another. Imagine ripples on a lake seamlessly flowing from one to the next. Understanding the koshas can help guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself.


The layers of self are as follows: 

  • Gross Body - Our physical cellular self, it is sustained by the five senses.
  •  Prana Body - This is our breath body and is said to support our personal consciousness. 
  • Mental Body - The space where our nervous system operates. It is responsible for mental functioning. Depression, anxiety, and our mental chatter lives here.
  • Wisdom Body - In this space lives our intellect. It allows for observation without emotion and transforms knowledge into wisdom.
  • Bliss Body - Said to be more of a state of mind than a space. This kosha is where our highest self lives. It is a culmination of all the other layers to our most perfect self and is the vessel of the soul. This space is often described as the state of consciousness between sleep and awareness. 


This is why we chose Bliss Body Therapy as our name. Everyone deserves to live within their bliss body. We believe that massage therapy and yoga can help induce this state naturally and is a perfect way for you to tune into your mind/body/spirit.
